Return Rules Summary

  • Returns accepted for 14 days
  • Customer provides return shipping

  • 10% restocking fee

  • No final sale items

 

This policy is written to comply with the CPA and ECT Act (7-Day Cooling Off Period).

 

1. Our Commitment to Quality (6-Month Warranty)

 

All products sold by VDV Commerce are covered by an implied warranty of quality for a period of 6 months from the date of delivery, as required by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

If your product is defective, unsafe, or not fit for its intended purpose within the first 6 months, you may choose to have the item:

  • Repaired

  • Replaced

  • Receive a Full Refund (at your election)

Important: We will cover the cost of collecting and shipping the defective item back to us.

 

2. Cooling-Off Period (The Online Right to Return)

 

Since you we an online retailer, the ECT Act grants the following rights, which VDV Commerce extends:

You have the right to cancel your order for any reason (buyer's remorse) within 14 calendar days of receiving your product.

  • Refund: If you exercise this right, we will issue a refund of the purchase price, minus a 10% restocking/handling fee, within 15 business days of receiving the returned item.

  • Your Responsibility: You, the customer, will be responsible for the direct costs and risk associated with returning the goods to our location (Pinehurst, Cape Town). The goods must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in a re-saleable condition.

 

3. Conditions Where We Cannot Accept Returns

 

The right to a refund or exchange for change-of-mind does not apply if:

  • The product has been used, worn, or altered by the consumer.

  • The product is missing any original packaging, components, or accessories.

  • The damage to the product occurred after successful delivery.

 

4. Final Sale Items (Hygiene & Safety)

 

For hygiene and quality control reasons, VDV Commerce is unable to accept returns or exchanges (even during the 14-day window) for the following items if they have been worn or the protective seal has been removed (These are Final Sale):

  • Earrings (for pierced ears)

  • Worn Watches/Straps (where there is visible wear-and-tear)

  • Any product where a protective seal has been broken.

 

How to Initiate a Return

 

To initiate a return or report a defect, please email PatrickVDVmusic@gmail.com or contact us directly via the chat feature on our website within the specified timeframes, providing your Order Number and proof of purchase.
